Zone Counter - Moving Vehicles
Mistall Zone Counter counts moving vehicles in parking garages and surface lots. The camera uses edge processing to detect vehicles, track their directionality, and count them as they cross a virtual ‘entry’ or ‘exit’ line.
Overhead Mount. The Zone Counter is a specialized security camera that is mounted to the ceiling to see traffic below and sometimes to the side. Installation is easy, with very little calibration or ongoing maintenance.
Machine Learning. Vehicle detection and counts are processed in the camera. Only vehicles are counted. Accuracy improves over time as the camera learns about the area it is counting. Firmware is automatically updated to further improve accuracy.
No Delineation Needed. The Zone Counter uses advanced video analytics to find vehicles anywhere in the image, without the need for demarcation, pylons, curbs, or markers.
Directional Detection. Vehicle direction is automatically detected with smart logic to handle one-way or two-way traffic easily. Multiple vehicles are simultaneously tracked and counted.
Areas, Levels, and Nests. Zone Counters work together anywhere on the perimeter of a garage or lot, accommodating any number of entry and exit lanes. Interior Zones can also be established, such as nested areas and level counts. Zones may be added and subtracted to form real or virtual Lots.
Tailgating. With built-in multi-object detection the Zone Counter can separate individual vehicles in the video stream, counting correctly even when vehicles have little space between them.
Easy Audit. The Zone Counter records a short video of each vehicle as it crosses the virtual ‘entry’ or ‘exit’ line for audit purposes so that you can see what’s happening in your lanes. You can trust the counts to be accurate and verify to confirm.
Parking Guidance. Like all other data in the Mistall Platform, Zone Counter locations are available for mPark Parking Guidance as well as availability signage.
Occupancy BI. Along with all of the other data that is aggregated in the Mistall Platform, Zone Counter data can be analyzed in Mistall’s Occupancy BI module. See intuitive data visualizations of your actual, peak, average occupancy, entry and exit volumes, by time and location, and more.
Power Options
PoE
Zone Counter works out-of-the-box with PoE (Power over Ethernet) for power and communications. This provides a plug-and-play implementation with little dependency on IT departments or electricians.
AC Power
Where PoE is not feasible Mistall offers an AC Power Conversion kit for AC power ranging from 110-240VAC and 50/60Hz.
Communications Options
In addition to Ethernet communications the Zone Counter also supports wireless options including Wi-Fi via access point or mesh network. Mistall also offers cellular communications with most LTE/4G providers, where services exist.
